Planning trips with your family is a great way to relax and have a little bonding time. If it’s a summer trip, nothing is better than cooling off at an awesome water park. And the all-American summer trip is to Water Country USA! Fun rides, slides and cool, refreshing water to keep away the heat. My family has season passes and we are super excited for this seasons grand openin of Water Country USA – the largest one of it’s kind in Virginia! Here are some attractions we can’t wait to try:
Big Daddy Falls:
Extreme fun with whitewater rafting! It has 670 ft. of excitement with twists, turns, tunnels and even water cannons. With no height restrictions, we can all climb into a raft and enjoy the ride together. Bring it on!
Rock ‘n’ Roll Island:
This is an adventure within an adventure! The Rock ‘n’ Roll Island has its own pool, lazy river, tubes and a challenging log walk. I think we’re going to give the log walk a try, then hit the tubes and round out with the lazy river to help us wind down and stay cool!
Hubba Hubba Highway:
Funny name and what looks to be fun times! It’s not that long of a ride, but it has a lot going on. There are hidden surprises all the way around like geysers, crazy coconuts and from the pictures we saw, chances for people standing on the sidelines to shoot with water cannons!
Vanishing Point:
Okay, so this is not for the little ones or the faint of heart! The floor literally drops out from beneath you and sends you shooting straight down the slide. You can choose to drop yourself down, but I’m looking forward to the extra adrenaline rush!
Surfer’s Bay:
Forget the mess of the sand and little critters everywhere, this sounds like the ideal way to enjoy waves! Every 10 minutes the waves start over, nice, relaxing and a great time to spend with the kids!
That’s just a few of the awesome attractions we’re looking forward to trying! Then there’s also the food and fun atmosphere to soak up, along with the sun, of course!
