Here are a few of the FREE Weekend Happenings. Everyone is SO busy with the holiday approaching so fast upon us (I know Maggie & I have been with this blog/web site) that we are thinking we really have no time for doing anything “fun” this weekend. Anyway, that’s what I was thinking when my family came to me and said they “missed” me (okay so they didn’t “actually” say that, but it was more or less :)) So we took one day and did something family oriented and went to Mt. Dora, Florida to look at the lights and go shopping in its beautiful little town. The point I’m making is; Take time to spend with the family and relax because I’m sure you deserve it. So GO, HAVE FUN & I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend in whatever you are doing..

Much of the singing is 4-part a cappella harmony, with carols worth dancing to, performed by fiddle, accordion, concertina, banjo and piano. The show begins with a fresh look at the telling of the story of Christ’s birth through unfamiliar folk carols. The show ends with even less familiar songs associated with midwinter visiting customs such as “Hunting the Wren,” the “Derby Ram,” and “Wassailing on New Year’s Eve.

Go to Regal Entertainment Group on Facebook and “Like” them and you can go to their tab that says “coupons.” This week you get a coupon for $2.00 off a Zap Pack. Last weekend I was “Supposed” to go see the new Harry Potter movie out and maybe even throw in a little Narnia however I didn’t get to do either one, I was just so busy & the family wanted to do something “Christmasy” so we went to Mt. Dora here in Florida
Mt. Dora, Florida is such a unique, quaint little town it reminded me so much of Asheville, NC and also of Downtown Annapolis, MD. I would have to say they held nothing back in the decorating of this town, the streets were bustling and the people were enjoying all the sights and sounds of Christmas with music going and they even brought in ice and were doing snow sledding right in downtown Mt. Dora how awesome is that!! I think this weekend we might go check out St. Augustine I hear it’s beautiful there also. 🙂
Do you have anything fun going on in your neighborhood? Feel free to post it in the comments or on Facebook for others to participate and enjoy!
