You have to check out my mom’s recipe for home made hot chocolate fudge. Its the perfect compliment to a brownie and some french vanilla ice cream and its so easy to make with 3 simple ingredients and just 5 minutes of your time! You might also like my flower shaped brownies! YUM!
Ok lets start with the brownie recipe;
I simply used a basic Pillsbury Brownie mix (that was on sale) but I substituted the water the box calls for and used additional oil instead – coconut oil which will give your brownies a better flavor and a better texture for using your cookie cutters so they don’t fall apart like traditional brownies. Be sure to grease your pan so nothing sticks 9very important) or – try baking your brownies on parchment paper so you can easily lift the shapes and have no sticking to the pan.
After brownies have cooled completely use your cookie cutter to make fun shapes. You may have a hard time with plastic cookie cutter so I suggest a good quality Wilton – metal cookie cutter. Have fun with the shapes!
Home made Hot Fudge Recipe;
This recipe has just 3 ingredients and I owe my mother credit for this one!
- 1 Can Swetened condensed cream
- 1 whole stick butter
- 2 squares bakers chocolate (you can use chocolate chips too)
Melt chocolate squares and butter over low heat, add condensed cream and stir. For a more chocolaty fudge add an additional chocolate square.
[…] Follow the directions on the box mix adding however many eggs the box calls for. Then, instead of water or milk omit 75% of what the recipe calls for and only add 25% of the water or milk the recipe calls for. Add melted coconut oil for the 75% called for in the liquid mixture. Be sure that your eggs sit out for just a little bit to get toward room temperature and that your milk or water is lukewarm and not cold (otherwise your liquid coconut oil will harden). This will make the BEST chewy delicious, homemade tasting brownies – I PROMISE! Check out my flower brownies too! […]
