Ok, I just made this one up this weekend and it was a HUGE success. I wasn’t expecting this snap of warmer weather in October so I decided to make Candy Corn Jello Pudding pops and they were delicious, festive and fun! So, if you’re looking for some fairly easy kids Halloween dessert recipe ideas this one was a hit at my house. Let me tell you how I did it.
Since candy corn is 3 layers of color you have to make these in layers so although it takes a little time to get the 1st layer to set and then start the second layer to making the actual pudding pops is pretty easy to do.
Ok here are the supplies you need for the Jello Candy Corn Pudding Pops;
- Jello Instant Pudding Banana
- Jello Instant Pudding Vanilla
- Goya Coconut Cream
- Goya Coconut Milk
- Sugar
- Food Color
- Dream Whip
Starting with your “white” party on the candy corn at the bottom 1st. Mix 1 cup Coconut Cream with 1 cup Coconut Milk & 1/4 cup sugar. Heat in microwave for approx 60 seconds (until the sugar is able to melt into the mixture) All to cool then pour into the bottom of your pop molts and place in freezer to set.
After your white part has set not you need to make your orange color of the candy corn. Use the vanilla instant pudding follow the directions on the package and add 1 package Dream Whip. Mix well, add yellow and red food color according to package to make orange color mixing well again to be sure color is evenly distributed then and pour into your mold. Place in freezer and start your yellow color for the top. (NOTE: you can use vanilla for both the yellow and orange color or you can use banana pudding for both colors – according to taste if you have picky eaters)
Now make your yellow candy corn color. It’s easiest to use banana instant pudding because it doesn’t need much food color (just a few drops). Just make the pudding according to directions and add 1 pack Dream Whip. Add to the top of your mold and place in your tops. (Note: I waited to pour in my orange until my white was completely set. I only waited until my orange was well chilled before I poured in my yellow because I need to get my tops into the mixture)
