Walt Disney World Music: A Review of “Classically Disney” As a huge fan of Walt Disney World, music from the parks invokes wonderful memories of our visits to the happiest place on Earth. I have several CDs that have music from the parks, and a friend gave me a wonderful new CD for Christmas this year. Of all the CDs of Disney music I own, “Four Parks, One World” has always been a favorite. It is a 2-disc set, featuring so many wonderful songs from all four Florida parks. My youngest knows all the words to some of the songs, so it is a fun road-trip compilation. Unfortunately, this album is no longer available, but rumor has it that Walt Disney World will soon be releasing a new CD with music from the parks, showcasing changes and updates to the attractions. I can’t wait! The CD I recived for Christmas is a bit different. It is much more relaxing and isn’t just music from the parks. “Classically Disney” is a collection played by string quartet, so it is soothing whether stuck in traffic or played at home. In fact, we were recently traveling with another family for a weekend getaway and they had really noisy neighbors in the hotel room next door. Since the other family had their laptop, they borrowed my CD and played it overnight for a more restful night’s sleep. Take it from me, “Yo Ho, Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for me)” sounds totally different when played by beautiful string instruments. I love that it has a lot of park music from rides and attractions, as well as some really well-known Disney “anthems.” If you are a fan of Disney, or just like instrumental music in general, I highly reccomend this CD!
