Are you ready to break away from conventional Easter eggs this year and get wild and wacky? Want to learn how to make Tie Dye Eggs?
These Tie Dye Easter Eggs are really easy to make. Oh, we’ll still be dipping eggs as we’ve done for years and years, but each year we try and add in something wild and wacky just to mix it up a little bit and have some fun. This year is no different!
Tie Dye Egg Recipe Ingredients:
- Food Coloring (liquid)
- Eggs (Hard Boiled)
- Vinegar
Directions for Tie Dye Easter Eggs: Hard boil all of your eggs.
Fill a cup or bowl with vinegar so that when you submerge the egg into the vinegar the egg will be completely submerged. Now remove the egg quickly and place in a strainer in your sink (because it’s less messy if you do it over your sink and you can rinse away any extra color) or in an egg carton that is cardboard (not the Styrofoam type because it’ll hold water and food color in the bottom and get messy).
Now, quickly while your eggs are still moist with the vinegar start dripping (drip by drip) your food color. You have to do this while your egg is still semi wet so you’ll have to work fast. I just work in groups of 6 eggs at a time but if you’ve never done this before you may wanna just try 1 or 2 eggs at a time.
Drip color after color until you’ve covered your eggs.
