It’s not too late to take your family to see the Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures playing NOW at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. My family went last night and the reviews are saying that this is the best show yet (and we agree) thanks in part to Sophia Adams of Orange, California! This amazing skater for Disney on Ice trained an ADDITIONAL 6 weeks past the regular training period so that she and others in the show could perform new amazing stunts and feats in this brand new performance never seen before in this area! This young star on ice is stealing the show and it all started when she began ice skating at the age of 5 year old when her parents decided it would be fun to go skating one day!
Sophia is living the dream touring with Disney on Ice and says this job is “truly a dream come true”. She fondly calls the rest of the cast in the ice event “family” and says her “on the road family” is so important to her because she trained with them to perform this highly demanding new show an additional 6 weeks. She says “we all depend on each other” to perform these new acts and this performance has “pushed me and helped me to grow, dream and move in ways I never thought possible!”
Ms. Adams has a huge bucket list of things she wants to see as she tours around for the show. I wasn’t surprised to hear that she was excited to see the inner Harbor of Baltimore and to hit the National Aquarium of Baltimore. She says she’s heard so many things about “charm city” and that animals are a love of hers so as time allows she hopes to hit the Zoo and Aquarium while in our beautiful state of Maryland. In addition to her dream, one day when she retires from skating, she’d like to help other athletic performers in the filed of sports therapy. She feels like she knows what it takes to train for the impossible and she wants to help other performers be at the top of their game.
In the meantime, while not skating, this California girl loves to hang out in coffee shops sipping a hot beverage and just chatting and connecting with friends. She generally has a couple of days at each location and she says it’s not uncommon for us to “grab a pastry and drink and chat for hours.”
Sophia has a happy go lucky personality which I’m sure is what helped win over the decision to hire her into the Disney on Ice performance family but, she also has a soft side and is big on charitable donations to UNICEF.
Way back when she was a kid, Ms. Adams used to wear the same pair of earring before she skating but now she says she doesn’t have time to have superstitions so they’ve long since flown out the window. I’m now known to be very spontaneous and outgoing…. perfect for her lead role in Road Trip Adventures as Jasmine! Would you like to see Sophia in action? It’s not to late to get tickets and head to the show!
