It’s no secret that I’m an absolute self proclaimed Disney fanatic!!!! We’re Disney Vacation Club Members and visit Disney World faithfully EVERY single year. Well I was chosen, because of my love of all things Disney, to host a #DisneySide Celebration. We has such a great time! Let me tell you all about our big Disney event;
Well when our package arrived in the mail my daughter could barely sleep that night! She was thinking the party would happen IMMEDIATELY! It was so cute – I guess I’ve turned her into a big Disney fan too. So, the next day we started making our invitations and planning our Disney party. We decided to offer a Disney hat contest because we had an American Tourister, the official luggage of Disney, to give away. Christina Brault of Cambridge won the luggage with the BEST Disney hat (she’s a Disney fanatic too!) Check out all of our Disney hats out on the table. We wanted to make sure we had extra just in case some kids didn’t have a Disney hat.
The day before our big event Samantha and I started making our Mickey cookies. We spent hours making sugar cookie dough, cutting out Mickey cookie and then decorating them. Wondering why we spent hours on this small task? Well, we have 3 other children in our home in addition to Samantha and the cookies were being eaten as fast as we were making them! Lol! They were delicious and went VERY fast at the party!
We also made Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats – These barely made it to the party they were so good (I think I ate 5 while we were making them! Lol)
The next morning we started on our Mickey french toast bites. Our party was pretty early on a Saturday so we figured by the time parents slept in on Saturday and then got the kids up and ready for the party that some families wouldn’t have had breakfast yet so Samantha has the idea of french toast Mickey bites! Dipping anything in syrup is delicious but add Mickey Mouse to it and it was a big hit!
Some water tattoos were sent to us with our #DisneySide kit and my Sammi decided to put Goofy right on her cheek! As soon as the kids started arrived, of course, all of the girls HAD to have it on their cheeks too! It was so funny! Girls will be girls!
All in all the party was a huge success and it was so much fun just to have a party for the sake of having fun. Lol! It’s also nice to have a room filled with friend that share the same fondness of all things Disney. Next? I’d love to plan a group Disney trip! Now that would be FUN!
