These Rice Krispy Easter Eggs are so much fun to make with the kids! They are really easy, delicious and fun!
Total Time: 20 minutes (or less if you’re fast in the kitchen)
Rice Krispy Easter Eggs Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows
- OR
- 4 cups Kraft marshmallows
- 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
- plastic Easter Eggs
- Chocolate melts, white melts
Directions
1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Stir in food coloring (if desired). Remove from heat.
2. Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.
3. Using butter spatula or your hand coated with a little butter or coconut oil press mixture into plastic Easter Eggs coated with cooking spray, butter or coconut oil.
4) After the eggs have completely cooled, remove and place on Reynolds parchment paper (you don’t have to place on parchment but it helps keep them from sticking & my mom was always big on Reynold’s products so I’ve stuck with it since it worked for her!)
5) Melt your Wilton candy melts in the microwave, add a little oil to make them smooth (add oil by the 1/2 tsp or tsp slowly) and stir until you can drizzle the eggs with chocolate and white. Display and enjoy! Yum! ☺
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
