How about breaking tradition this year and instead of just dipping eggs in plain old egg dye you make some Tie Dye Easter Eggs? Well I have a video and a photos for you so you can easy make tie dye Easter Eggs this year – It’s fun and soooo colorful!
I made my 1st Tie Dye Easter eggs about 4 years ago and now I’m hooked! Lol! We do a combination of good old fashioned dipped eggs and tie dye eggs each year now. I’m no Martha Stewart but at least I can pretend, right?
These are really fun to make but unless you wear latex or rubber gloves or something to protect your hands be prepared to have your fingernails stained with food dye color for a few days. I don’t mind…. it’s all in a days work as a mom at my house. ☺
Hard Boil your eggs
Tie Dye Recipe Ingredients:
Heinz Vinegar & McCormick’s food color liquid
Splash the eggs (after boiling them) with vinegar. Now drop your food color all over the egg. You can roll them around in the food color for more color coverage or drop them in designs. I did both ways in the photo so you can see what they’ll look like. Make food fun!
Oh and be sure to check out my video on 5 fun ways to dye Easter Eggs and of course…. Don’t forget the reason for the Easter season isn’t just about eggs…..
