Breakfast is a big part of our lives. I have 4 kids and one of them is a seriously picky eater so any time I can make food fun for a holiday I do it. So this year we tried making Easter Egg French Toast Eggs. They were so much fun to make and the kids loved them too. These make GREAT kids Easter treats for breakfast. That’s a win-win in my household!
To start off, my kids just LOVE French Toast which is fine with me because the bread soaks up so many eggs that it is a nice balance of a protein and a starch to get their day going. Add fresh fruit on top of the French Toast or a glass of orange juice and they’re good to go until lunch. My oldest son was always big on eating a hearty breakfast with protein because he would tell me that he’d get so hungry before lunch time that it was hard to think.
Directions for French Toast Eggs Kids Easter Treats Recipe:
Ingredients:
- Bread 10 to -15 Slices
- 10-12 Eggs
- 1/4 Cup Coconut oil
- Easter Sprinkles (these are optional but fun)
- Whip Topping
Directions: Blend Eggs and oil in blender until well whipped and coconut oil is well mixed in. Pour into a bowl or a pan that will easily fit the side of your bread. Dip each piece of bread into the mixture either sinking it to fully cover it or flipping the bread once in the mixture so that both sides of the bread are fully covered.
Fry on a skillet at approximately 350 degrees, flipping one time to be sure each side is well cooked.
Remove from heat and place on a cookie sheet. Use your egg shaped cookie cutter to cut out the shapes for the eggs in the french toast. Parents – you get the crust! Lol!
Add your whip topping for stripes on your Easter egg french toast. Add sprinkles (optional but fun and festive). Serve with hot syrup and orange juice for a delicious breakfast!
