Ready to visit the mouse? Many people don’t realize it but there are “seasons” for Walt Disney World. Travel during the “off season” and you may get a 30% discount on your Walt Disney World resort room, a free Disney Dining plan and never wait it a line for a ride. If you travel during the “peak season” you may end up waiting in lines to ride rides, paying for peak price for Walt Disney World Resorts and there will be no mention of a free dining plan add on.
Disney has done their homework and they know that when the parks aren’t as crowded they can offer discounts to bring visitors to Walt Disney World. It makes perfect sense. Now don’t get me wrong…. There is never a BAD time to visit Walt Disney World. Disney is magical and fun and worth every penny however some of us don’t have as many pennies as others so we need to find out the cheapest time to take a Walt Disney World vacation in 2014. Check back as I’ll have the 2015 Cheapest dates to take Walt Disney World Vacation out VERY soon. (I know some of you have to plan OVER a year in advance)
2014 Dates (goes from most expensive and busy in the parks to least expensive and least busy from top to bottom) (Looking for 2015 Dates – go here!)
- Premier Season (most Expensive and most crowded at Walt Disney World) April 13th-26th, Dec 24th-31st (lines will be long, you likely won’t find room discounts or free dining plan offers)
- Magic Season – Feb 16th-28th, March 1st-31st, April 1st-12th, April 27th-30th, June 11st-30th, July 1st-31st, August 1st-15th, November 26th-28th
- Dream Season – Feb 1st-15th, May 1st-31st, June 1st-10th, August 16th-31st
- Choice Season – October 1st-31st, November 1st-25th, November 29th-30th, December 15th-23rd
- Adventure Season (absolute BEST chance of finding a deal if you travel during any of these dates, lines won’t be long and you can likely find a room discount code and maybe even get a free dining plan thrown in) Jan 1st-31st, September 1st-30th, December 1st-14th (likely no lines at all on most rides)
FYI – these are the “names of the seasons” that Disney gives them in the member book when you buy the Disney Vacation Club but it’s the SAME park traffic, etc even if you aren’t a Disney Vacation Club member. I’m a frugal living expert and visit Disney with my family (4 kids) a minimum of once a year and sometimes 3 times a year. As a home school mom living on a one income household we need to save. I want you to have a dream Disney vacation too!
